The price changed when I clicked Book Now — why?

Last updated: 1 June 2025

This is one of the most common questions we get, and the short answer is: flight prices are dynamic and change in real time.

Why prices change

Airlines use yield management systems that adjust fares constantly — sometimes by the minute — based on remaining seat inventory, competitor pricing, time to departure, and demand signals. The price Wingit shows reflects what our monitoring system detected when the deal was flagged and approved. By the time you tap "Book Now," the airline's live inventory may show a slightly different price.

Small changes are normal

A difference of ₹500–2,000 from the Wingit deal price is normal and doesn't mean the deal has ended. Flight prices fluctuate within a range even during a sale period.

Large changes mean the deal has likely ended

If the price you see on the booking platform is significantly higher than the Wingit deal price (more than 15–20%), the discounted fare has probably sold out or the airline has repriced. At this point, the deal on Wingit will be marked as expired within our next monitoring cycle.

What to do

  1. 1Check the same deal on Wingit — if it's been marked expired, the fare is gone
  2. 2Try nearby dates — sometimes alternate departure dates on the same route still carry the deal price
  3. 3Check the Wingit deals feed for other deals on the same route or nearby destinations
  4. 4Set a Wishlist alert on the route — if prices drop again, you'll be notified

One important note

Prices shown on Wingit are informational. We make every effort to verify fares before approving deals, but we cannot guarantee the exact price will be available at the moment you click through. Always verify the price on the booking platform before completing checkout.
