How long do deals last?
Last updated: 1 June 2025
Most Wingit deals are valid for 24–72 hours from the time they're detected and approved. Some flash sales disappear within hours of going live. This is the nature of airline pricing — seats are finite, and once enough people book at the sale price, the airline reverts to standard fares.
Act quickly
When you receive a Wingit alert, check it as soon as possible. The sooner you look, the better your chances of finding the discounted fare still available on the airline or booking site. Deals that are still live when you click through are clearly shown; if the price has changed significantly, the deal may have already expired.
How Wingit handles expiry
Our system monitors active deals continuously. When a deal's price has risen significantly above the flagged fare (more than 20%), or when the departure date has passed, we mark the deal as expired and stop surfacing it. Expired deals are removed from the deals feed automatically.
Wishlisted deals stay visible
If you've saved a deal to your Wishlist, it stays visible even after expiry — marked as "No longer available" — so you can see what price you saw and use it as a reference. See How does the Wingit Wishlist work? for details.
Tips for acting on time
- Enable push notifications — they fire the instant a deal is approved, faster than email
- Check the app first thing in the morning — our 5:30 AM scan often catches overnight sales
- If a deal expires before you book, check the same destination in the deals feed — deals on popular routes sometimes reappear
