How do I turn on push notifications?

Push notifications are the fastest way to receive Wingit deal alerts — they fire the instant a deal is approved. Here's how to enable them on iOS and Android.

iOS (iPhone / iPad)

1. 1Open the Settings app on your iPhone
2. 2Scroll down and tap Wingit
3. 3Tap Notifications
4. 4Toggle Allow Notifications on
5. 5Select your preferred alert style (Banners recommended — they appear on screen and are easy to dismiss)

If the Wingit app isn't listed in Settings → Notifications, it means the app hasn't requested notification permission yet. Open the Wingit app, go to Profile → Notification Preferences, and toggle Push Notifications on — the OS permission prompt will appear.

Android

1. 1Open the Settings app
2. 2Tap Apps (or "Application Manager" depending on your Android version)
3. 3Find and tap Wingit
4. 4Tap Notifications
5. 5Toggle Show notifications on

On some Android versions: long-press the Wingit app icon → App Info → Notifications → Enable.

Within the Wingit app

Regardless of OS, make sure push notifications are also toggled on inside the app:

1. 1Open the Wingit app
2. 2Go to Profile (bottom tab)
3. 3Tap Notification Preferences
4. 4Toggle Push Notifications on

Both the in-app toggle and the OS permission must be enabled for push notifications to work.

Why push notifications?

Push notifications reach you faster than email or WhatsApp because they bypass the email delivery queue. For deals that disappear in hours, being first to know matters. We recommend enabling push notifications as your primary Wingit alert channel.
