Why am I not receiving deal alerts?
Last updated: 1 June 2025
If you've signed up for Wingit but aren't receiving alerts, here are the most common causes and how to fix each one.
1. Push notifications not enabled on your device
iOS: Go to Settings → Wingit → Notifications → toggle Allow Notifications on.
Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Wingit → Notifications → toggle on.
Even if you enabled push notifications in the app, the OS-level permission must also be granted.
2. Deal alerts going to your spam folder
Check your spam or junk folder for emails from alerts@wingitdeals.com. If you find them there, mark them "Not Spam" and add the address to your contacts. See How do I keep Wingit emails out of spam? for step-by-step instructions by email provider.
3. No deals have been approved yet for your airport
Wingit only sends alerts when a genuine deal is detected and approved. We don't send alerts on a fixed schedule — we send them when deals exist. If no deals have been approved for your home airport in the past few days, your inbox will be quiet. This is normal, not a bug.
4. Your home airport isn't set
If you skipped the onboarding flow or haven't completed it, your home airport may not be set. Go to Profile → Home Airport and select your departure airport. Without a home airport, your deal preferences are incomplete.
5. Email opt-out is active
Check Profile → Notification Preferences to confirm email alerts are enabled. If email_opt_out is on, you won't receive email alerts. Toggle it off to re-enable.
6. WhatsApp number not added
If you want WhatsApp alerts, make sure your WhatsApp phone number is saved in your profile. Go to Profile → Phone Number and add or update it.
If you've checked all of the above and still aren't receiving alerts, email support@wingitdeals.com with your registered email address and we'll investigate.
