What notification channels does Wingit use?

Last updated: 1 June 2025

Wingit sends deal alerts across four channels simultaneously when a new deal is approved.

Email

Every approved deal triggers an email to all eligible subscribers. Each email contains the full deal summary — origin, destination, price, discount percentage, travel dates, and a direct "Book Now" link. Emails include a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.

Sender: alerts@wingitdeals.com — add this to your contacts to ensure deliverability.

Push notifications (mobile app)

Push notifications fire the instant a deal is approved — faster than email. To receive them, you need the Wingit mobile app installed and push notifications enabled. See How do I turn on push notifications? for setup instructions.

WhatsApp

If you provided your WhatsApp number during signup, you'll receive a deal alert message on WhatsApp for every approved deal. WhatsApp messages arrive quickly and are easy to act on directly from your phone.

SMS

SMS alerts are available for users who opt in. SMS delivers a brief deal summary and a short link to the deal page. Standard message rates from your carrier apply.

Which channels should I enable?

We recommend enabling all channels. Push notifications are fastest. Email gives you the most detail. WhatsApp is convenient if you're frequently on your phone. SMS is a useful backup for when you're in areas with poor data connectivity.

You can manage which channels are active in Profile → Notification Preferences in the Wingit app.
